This year’s award recognises the power of Emerson’s industry-leading Plantweb™ digital ecosystem, which now includes the AspenTech suite of plant optimisation software solutions.
Some of you may have seen in the media that we have some activities going on, and I wanted to give you all a quick update and a summary of a few things.
To reinforce our commitment to our industrial customers, we are reshaping our portfolio towards a pure-play automation business. This journey includes divesting several non-core businesses, expanding our industrial software capabilities, and acquiring automation-based businesses. These include OSI Inc., Mita-Teknik, AspenTech, and Fluxa, and an agreement to acquire Australian-headquartered Micromine. With a cohesive portfolio, we can focus our research and development activities to innovate and deliver market-leading solutions that will help our customers achieve new levels of efficiency, accelerate innovation, and reduce emissions and waste without compromising safety.
Just like our customers and peers in the industry, Emerson faces many challenges. However, we will strive to serve our customers and industry partners by building on our proven record of operational excellence.
We have also launched our new "Go Boldly" tagline, which reinforces our transformation from a trusted manufacturing stalwart into a global industrial automation leader.
Maturing from “Consider it Solved” to “Go Boldly” demonstrates our commitment to transition from solving problems to our new direction of prioritising our culture, reimagining our portfolio, and creating a better tomorrow.
To accelerate our cultural transformation, Emerson has appointed our first Chief People Officer, Elizabeth Adefioye. Under her leadership, we have implemented various programs to enhance employee experience, end-to-end talent management, acquisition integration, and organisation effectiveness.
With that, let’s Go Boldly and collaborate to make the world healthier, safer, smarter, and more sustainable.
